42. Three creeds coexisted together in this place: Jewish, Muslims and Christians. The expulsion of tha Jews in 1492 produced the decadence of this region.   43. In the same year the New World is discovered.

46. The town is sieged by regent Cardinal Cisneros. The will will be declared null and void and accordingly, Arévalo will be loyal to the royalist troops in the Communard movement.   47. This place lodged important celebrities such as King Felipe II who passed a lot of times demanding soldiers and taxes because of his wars in Italy and Flanders.
     
 
     
52. Later, with Felipe IV the Arevalenses will take part in wars in Portugal, Catalonia and the Netherlands.   53. But with so many wars this land will be impoverished and will be filled with the maimed and the elderly.
